But if you’re fast at something, surely you wouldn’t be in the back.
To be considered fast means that you are ahead of everyone else. If you’re ahead of everyone else, no one is in front of you. If no one is in front of you, you are at the front. If you are at the front, everyone else is behind you. If everyone else is behind you, they are at the back. If they are at the back, you are at the front.
So you can’t be fast at something when you’re at the back.
And don’t call me Shirley.
